Ubicada en la localidad de Beniarbeig, Alicante, la casa se sitúa adyacente a un gran parque de una zona residencial de la ciudad.
La vivienda se alza sobre un terreno en desnivel. La irregularidad permite ubicar una pieza que hará de basamento junto con el terreno, incrustándose en él, y otra pieza que se apoya en esa base natural y artificial.
La pieza que conforma el zócalo adquiere dimensión, peso y carácter materializándose con piedra del lugar. Ésta, albergará las partes secundarias de la casa.
La base, hace de terraza, y el volumen blanco que se apoya contiene las estancias principales de la vivienda. Esta pieza queda cosida al zócalo mediante una piel de aplacado pétreo que focaliza las vistas hacia el paisaje del sur y hacia la arboleda del parque al norte, protegiendo los laterales de las miradas vecinas.
Located in the town of Beniarbeig, Alicante, the house is located adjacent to a large park in a residential area of the city.
The house stands on uneven ground. The irregularity allows to locate a piece that will act as a basement together with the ground, embedding itself in it, and another piece that rests on that natural and artificial base.
The piece that makes up the plinth acquires dimension, weight and presence, materializing itself with local stone. This will contain the secondary parts of the house.
The base acts as a terrace, and the white volume that rests contains the main rooms of the house. This piece is sewn to the plinth by a stone cladding skin, and focuses the views towards the landscape to the south and towards the grove of the park to the north, protecting the sides from neighboring gazes.
